Types of Mates[]

There are three types of mates: Prime, Average, and Desperate mates. A Desperate mate is indicated by black to purplish-gray hearts. If a Desperate mate is claimed, it will tell you

in a news feed, "The desperate fe/male is following you." An Average mate is shown by light pink hearts. If an Average mate is claimed, it will tell you in a news feed, "The average fe/male is interested." A Prime mate is shown by sparkling light-to-hot pink hearts. If a Prime mate is claimed, it will tell you in a news feed, "The prime fe/male is interested!"

Claiming a Mate[]

Mates require certain Ranks. An animal raises its Rank by intaking kilocalories. A Rookie Rank, the default Rank, is required for a Desperate mate. That is the only mate a Rookie can

claim. A Veteran, the second Rank, can claim Desperate and Average mates. A Boss animal, the last obtainable Rank, can select a Desperate, an Average, or a Prime mate.

Offspring and Inheriting[]

Inheriting

After mating with a female/male, you will gain a certain amount of siblings and inherit a percentage of the bonuses your previous character (father or mother) had gained from completing challenges. A Desperate mate, in addition to giving you fleas, offers the smallest litter of animals and only 10% of your stat bonuses will be carried over. An Average will offer a mid-to-large litter, depending on your animal's size, and 25 percent of your bonuses. A Prime will save 50% of the stat bonuses and yield the largest amount of siblings. For instance, if you collected +20 Attack, +2 Defense, and +40 Life, mating with a Desperate female would save 5 Attack, 1 Defense, and 10 Life. If you mated with an Average female, however, you would carry over 10% of your Attack bonuses, 1% of your Defense bonus, and 20% of the Life. Therefore, if you mated with a Prime mate you would save 15 of your Attack bonuses, 1 of your Defense bonuses, and 30 of your Life bonuses.
